Le Metier de Beaute Noir Precision Liner

In terms of liquid eye liners, I personally prefer the pen style ones.  I have worked with the wand type and the brush end, but I find the pen style is the easiest to use.  I previously reviewed Chantecaille's pen style liner le stylo.   Today I bring you Le Metier de Beaute's pen style liner, Precision Liner.

Precision liquid liner is touted as long wearing and smudge proof.  It has been said that the tip is modeled after a Monte Blanc pen.  This liner comes in three colors: noir, aqua and bleu.  I have previously swatched all of the colors here.  I own Noir which is a dark black color that is not glossy.

The bottom swatch is one swipe to show how thin you can get.  The top is to show how dark you can get the color.  You can see a bit of feathering on my arm, but I have never experienced this on my eye.  The Le Metier artists typically recommend a tapping method to apply this liner to get the best line.  One of their artists, Kayla, shows the liner technique in this video.  I find this technique to be my favorite for easy application, but my mother (who has also fallen in love with this pen), prefers to drag it along her lash line.

Does it live up to the claims?  I believe it does.  It doesn't smudge and lasts all day.  Both my mother and I have oily lids and it lasted well on both of us.  However, it is not waterproof, which is fine because it doesn't claim to be.  the only time I ever experienced smudging is when I was sweating bullets (ew).

Here is a picture to show the tip. This is after a bit of use.

Overall, I highly recommend this for any and all liquid liner lovers, and it's mom approved (my mom loves it too).  It retails for $42.  O and just to prove how great it is, my mom (who barely ever wears makeup) owns 2 colors!
